Junior's 2014/15 Match Reports

League at home to College Corinthians Friday 7th November 2014
College Corinthians 1 Midleton1

A youthful midleton junior team got a well deserved 1-1 draw with last years league champions. Midleton dominated the 1st half playing 4 5 1 with emil Dylan and Dave Connaughton winning the midfield battle and smurf and badge looking dangerous every time they got the ball out wide.Midleton took a well deserved lead when Connaughton shot found the feet of Stephen O Brien who calmly slotted past the keeper. It should of been two soon after but O Brien spurned a great chance after super through ball by Dave Williams. Corinthians only looked like breaking the midleton defence by a set piece. Second half Corinthians came out all guns blazing but the back four Andy Josh Cillian Hurley and Laughlin answering everything that was trown at them. The equaliser finally came from the spot when emil was harshly judged to have fouled the Corinthians winger which Colin couldn't keep out after pulling off two superb saves just before. Stand out performers josh deady, emil pekala but the best team performance to date.
