Under 15A 2012/13 Division 4 Match Reports

League at home to Churchvilla on Saturday 22nd Septmber 2012
Midleton 1 Churchvilla 4

If ever a score line dint tell the truth, this is it! Midleton dominated the visitors for all but 20 minutes of the match (15mins in the 1st half & 5 mins in the second half) and still did not get the result they thoroughly deserved. Not only they dominated them but also played some magnificent footbal. Midleton's passing and movement was pleasing on the eye and very effective too, the only thing lacking was the lack of pace/power on the last kick to land the ball in the opposition net, that was mainly due to Churchvilla "parking the bus".
Once again the whole Midleton team played very well as a team, though they got caught out to Churchvilla's long ball tack tick the lads did not drop their head and kept going.
The Midleton lads kept moving the ball from left to right and right to left constantly and kept putting in good crosses into the box and ran the opposotion ragged so much that some of their players were run off their feet, as I said the only thing missing was that final touch/tap to get the ball in to their net.
The solitary goal was scored by Barry Keanealy after some very good work and assist by Owen Cashman, who had a very good game even when he was swithced to centre back, a postion he is not used to, in the second half as Dylan Halinan had to come off during half time with a tight ham string. Cian Walsh came in as sub for Dylan and continued the good work Dylan was doing by playing as right wing back and putting in some brilliant crosses and running tirelesly up and down the line with Owen supporting him they were a thorn on the right side of Churchvilla defence.
With Cillian Brouder as solid as a rock as ever in the centre of defence the visitors were lucky to catch us early before our lads could settle in to the game and once the lads settled in it was all one way traffic.
Once again every player to the last man did a fantastic job and did themselves and us proud and who knows what the result would have been if we had our full back line which was weekened due to injuries to two key players.
Connor White (7) Eolann Shanahan (6) Cillian Brouder (8) Dyllan Hallinan (7) Cian Walsh (8) Barry Keanealy (6) Connor McDonal (7)Timmy Abdullah (6) Connor Evans (7)Kevin Daly (6) Owen Cashman (7)

League away to Carrigaline United A on Saturday 8th September 2012
Carrigaline United A 0 Mideton 2

It was a great start to the 2013/14 season for the Midleton U15A team, who registered a 2-0 win over Carrigaline United A in the CSL league.
While it was a great team performance, there were some outstading perfomances from Cillian Villard, Connor White and Kevin Daly. Kevin scoring one and creating/winnign a penalty for the second goal which was put away by Connor Evans. It was a well taken penalty and gave the opposition goal keeper no chance. While it was well deseved win which was dominated by MFC, it was very pleasing to see the boys keep a clean sheet as well, special mention must be made of Cillian Villard and Connor White in this regard as Cillian made some outstanding tackles and Connor made some top class saves specially the finger tip save he made when the ball looked destined to settle in the top left corner of the net with the scores nil all. Well done lads.
We would like to say a special thanks to to our "TRAVELING FAN" Mr John Cashman, Mr Villiard and Mr Jack Daly.
