League at Coffeys Field to Greenwood on Saturday 6th December 2014
Greenwood 0 Midelton 3

Today saw a barn storming 3-0 win for Midleton U11s away to Greenwood .This was a performance that the team had threatened all season and every member of the squad played their part brilliantly. And with two of the goals contenders for goal of the season we all left Cork very happy.
Angelo Presta on goal can be very happy with another clean sheet .The defence of David Green , TJ Murphy, James Crowley , Riain de Barra and Odhran Prenter restricted Greenwood to only one shot on target in the whole match and were very willing to carry the ball forward and help out with the attacks .The midfield of Stephen O’Shea ,David Cremin , Sean Fraser ,Rory Cummins and Evan McGrath played many great passing moves and worked very well together.
The win was the least the boys deserved, dominating possession, defending well, passing well and finishing well .The performances of Stephen O’Shea and Evan McGrath deserves special mention. Stephen scored a wonder goal twenty minutes into the first half, jinking past two players and curling the ball into the top corner. Stephen’s goal separated the sides at half time. Evan McGrath was involved in most of Midleton’s passing moves when he came on in the second half. He was soon rewarded with his own goal finishing off a great team move. Paul Curtin was tireless upfront and can be very happy with his running, passing and finishing. Paul had a very strong penalty claim in the second half which the ref unbelievably waved away .The third goal was a long range effort from David Greene which was too hot to handle for the Greenwood netminder.

14th September

Our first game of the season proved a very successful one. Camden in Crosshaven was a beautiful setting looking down on Spike Island but the wind played a huge factor in the game. It was your typical \'game of two halves\'. Midleton played with the strong wind in the first half and managed to go in at the break four nil up. The goals were the culmination of some neat passing movements.

In the second half the onslaught began early from Crosshaven and soon it was 4-1. There was some stout and resolute defending required throughout the second half. A goal by Midleton in the second was a vital cushion as the game went on and bodies got tired. Crosshaven managed two more goals but the cushion lead was always there to the final whistle. Overall it a great day out and very enjoyable for all concerned.

Team: Aaron Desmond, Connor Newcombe, Toby Adebayo, Adam Deehan, Alex Taft, Sean Kavanagh, Joshua Finch Buckley, Ruairi Cummins, Luke Butler, Eoin Higgins, TJ Murphy (Capt).
