Under 11A 2014/15 Division 5 Match Reports

League v Lakewood on 26th October 2014
Midleton 0 Lakewood 1

Sunday lunchtime of the October long weekend brought with it the almost traditional weather of strong wind and some rain. Midleton played against the wind in the first half and played really well with solid performances all over the pitch. It was a draw at half time and it appeared to be advantage Midleton. The wind seemed to lose some of its effectiveness and unfortunately so too did Midleton in the second half. The defence of whom Aaron Desmond, Toby Adebayo and Eoin Higgins defended really well. Lakewood found the net in the very last minute. Evan Dawson, Darragh O'Brien, David Ike and Promise Vidal all played well in the first half.

Team: Aaron Desmond, Ruairi O'Sullivan, Toby Adebayo, Eoin Higgins, Evan Dawson, Darragh O'Brien, David Ike, Promise Vidal, Joshua Finch- Buckley, Connor Newcombe, Conor O'Shea, Elvis Ojeleke, Adam Deehan, Jerry Shields.

5th October at Mart Field v Avondale Utd A
Midleton 6 Avondale Utd A 3

The change in weather over the weekend didn't see a change in fortune for the Midleton U11A team who remain unbeaten with two consecutive victories. We played with great intensity and desire in the first quarter which combined with some stout defending in particular by TJ Murphy saw us go in 4-1 up at half time.
The second half started the way the first did with some good Midleton play but Avondale to their credit fought hard to get back to 5 - 3. Overall it was a good win with the final score Midleton 6 (Ruairi Cummins x 2, Darragh O'Brien x 2, Joshua Finch- Buckley, Avondale O.G.) Avondale 3.

Midleton: Aaron Desmond, Toby Adebaye, TJ Murphy, Sean Kavanagh, Adam Deehan, Darragh O\'Brien, Eoin Higgins, Ruairi Cummins, Joshua Finch- Buckley, Ruairi O\'Sullivan, Conall Reilly
